On 27th March 2016, SVX Founder Simon Cheng caught this 87kg grade BlueFin Tuna in an afternoon Casting Game at North Carolina. This was SVX team’s first attempt to challenge giant BlueFin Tuna in the USA, luckily we got good results and the data gave us direction for SVX rod blanks development with the Japan manufacturers. The charter boat was Tuna Duck Charter and the record was witnessed and verified by Captain Dan.
